DESIGN DETAILS
DESIGN NAME:
Zenith City

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Residential House

INSPIRATION:
Considering there has been an atmosphere of simple luxury in the worldwide trend, the challenges on this project were to create a deluxe and calm living space through humanistic design, rather than using lavish add-ons such as crystal chandeliers, glass, and precious metals that are often used in the west; as well as to establish a luxury residence full of oriental charm and humanism that echoes to the image of the granite slabs used on the exterior of the building.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Replace artificial luxuries with natural textures, refine design language from traditional culture, and construct an antiseismic and safe residence that represents oriental aesthetics of abundance. Display a complete piece of Chibi marble slab with natural texture to bring out the surging momentum, Reappear the image of Chinese splash-ink paintings with a complete piece of marble slab of landscape texture, to convey a feel of serenity from oriental elements.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Taiwan's National Palace Museum is a historic and cultural treasure trove of thousands of years of oriental palace transitions. The invaluable collections possess hidden language of a millenary of humanistic development for designers to explore. Responding to the global trend of simple luxury, our intent of planning is to promote the rebirth of luxury residence of new kind by applying natural textures and totems, which are transformed from palace emblems of deluxe and abundance.

CHALLENGE:
Layer a metal net beneath the wooden grate partition at hallway entrance, to create a unique appeal of oriental window frame and express a design language of symmetry and repetition in oriental aesthetics. Apply color of golden, including golden amber at bar and kitchen as well as gold foil over dining table, to symbolize ancient royal glory, reflect an image of living in affluence, and also spark the interior with magnificent light.
