| DESIGN NAME: Meteorite PRIMARY FUNCTION: Light INSPIRATION: Meteorite was inspired by the often repeated meteor shower in space: the meteorite light project reminds of meteorite rainfall that the lighting becomes a desk lamp by separating the pieces while in the form of a pendant; the moment the meteor enters the interaction with oxygen, the burning effect is the resultant black color and inspired by it, the meteorite light color is designed as a black color and space grey. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Meteorite is a pendant light consisting of wireless six parts on one surface that can be used as pendant or desk lamps and the design was made especially for offices and public use with its 2 in 1 feature; each piece becomes a separate portable desk lamp and reminds a meteorite at the same time there is on/off button on the pieces and have the feature of charging while in pendant position. The project can be made easily movable and portable by five-edged ergonomic and moduler design, just within a few seconds it can be easily turned the desk lamps from pendant position. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The meteorite light has aggregable or segmentable feature. In just a few seconds you can easily turn the table lamps into a pendant position. It can be used both as a pendant or a desk lamp in most places and especially in office environments with its easy replaceble and official design. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2016 in Ankara/TURKEY and finished in February in 2017 in Ankara/TURKEY. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Meteorite is made by aluminium and electrostatic polyester powder paint with black/galaxy grey finish. Silicone rubber details, front edges are 304 quality stainless steel detailed. 3000K 18W SMD LED and the duration of battery is minimum eight hours. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Meteroite light pendant dimention: 1015 mm (W), 415 mm (D), 2000 mm (H) Desk Lamp Dimention: 160 mm (W), 190 mm (D), 180 mm (H). According to results of survey we determind the main problem and production has been begun to design by experienced designers of Lampart Company and it was developed some functions as space saving feature and multidirectional movings with its ergonomic shapes. CHALLENGE: Due to its structural system the challenging aspect meteorite light is to combine mechanic part with design and to give it 2 in 1 feature. The key of the challenging part of the light is to combine both pendant and desk lamp together. Meteorite light support all comfort in offices or work environments.
