| DESIGN NAME: BRAVO 40 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sailing catamaran INSPIRATION: In addition to designing and building yachts, my second passion is sailing, so based on my experiences and practices, insights and analysis of most of the building catamarans on the market I came to the conclusion that they are the structures without character, cool lines, superficial in the opposite of the other large luxury catamaranów . in connection with the above, I decided to create a unit which in addition to a very good nautical properties (sports) will also be an elegant yacht that returns attention. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main element of the idea of this project is to create a comfortable living space for the crew of the yacht, a large number of windows provides continuity between the inside and the deck of the yacht. in the living room through the large windows we have a view on the deck. The second thing was to achieve a compromise between innovative design and practice of sailing, to create a relaxed line of the yacht that will give complete satisfaction of a person a floating on that catamaran. The yacht has 4 double rooms with 4 bathrooms and a large comfortable lounge where you can spend a nice time. One of the features of this project is the side of the yacht in 3 colors. Another thing that is worth noting is the built-in solar panel on the roof of the yacht and its reading line in connection with this and all halyards are hidden inside the roof. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Catamaran Bravo 40 is a boat that can handle only one person, all the maneuver is directed to the command post. Roof of the boat is clean, all the halyards are hidden by under the covers. In ceiling this site is foreseen for the incorporation of solar - integrated battery. Another important thing is a lot of light inside the boat, thanks to many windows in the cubiera and especially in the bathrooms (4). Light enters through the outside of the hull. Plenty of room on the stern of the boat. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2016 in Warsaw in order to create a serial yacht as well as to participate in the competition A'Design Award. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The yacht will be built entirely of fiberglass and carbon fiber on some elements. The interior of the yacht will be finished luxury Dizajna and praktycznimi solutions, elements of the walls will be finished with elements of skins suitable warm interiors with wenge wood. On the main deck will be located teak. The first part of the project was to understand the characteristics that make these boats so special. I spent a lot of time talking with clients, experienced sailors, to meet the expectations of most people using this type of yacht, a catamaran. The first sketches allowed the formation of a yacht's body, adding innovative elements such as solar panels or a large cockpit, teak, etc. But the most important was to find a compromise between comfort and ergonomics and design itself. CHALLENGE: Create something that is different from what is around, a large space in a 40-foot length, after spending many hours in the shipyards looking for compromise between space and design.
