| DESIGN NAME: Ultratime 001 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Watch INSPIRATION: Ultraworks team loves every elements about the universe. We put great effort on studying the history about the space exploration and transforming these inspirations into our design. We understand that creating a watch with simple forms and neat graphic elements can be very challenging. Ultratime 001 took inspirations from the spacecraft speedometer. It is a unique and classy timepiece perfectly balanced in design and function. We believe that ultratime 001 is a timeless design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Ultraworks is a multi-disciplinary design unit based in Macau. We are good at combining avant design language with radical ideas to create unique design experience. Ultratime 001 is our first timepiece design. We worked very hard to create a mind-blowing moment in our daily life. Thus we paid much attention to the details that makes ultratime 001 so different and distinctive. The irregular arrangement of the numerals are presented neatly on the hours and minutes discs separately. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Ultratime 001 is a turning dial design watch with 2 circular discs for hour and minute. People can read the time through the gold/silver line. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2014 in Macau and finished in November 2015. |
