| DESIGN NAME: Transform PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table INSPIRATION: Do you remember playing with puzzles as a child? When anticipating what the finished product would look like after making all the pieces into one, the concentrated sense of achievement and feeling made us addicted to it, and thus we present the "Toy for big boy" through this case. This furniture piece is a worktable for a professional photographer. We’re inspired by this through the precise physical structure of a camera, with the concept of being free to increase or decrease the number of accessories. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The accessories for the worktable can be freely selected, matched, and disassembled. Aiming at the different work natures of the users, we have designed the most suitable accessories and ensure the feature of freely increasing or decreasing the accessories to present the diverse practical functions of this worktable. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Metal characteristics are adopted for development to design the worktable assembled by thin sheet iron and present a powerful contrast between solid metal machinery and a light and penetrable feeling, and every independent component contributes to the aesthetic feeling of plane design. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Based on CNC precise cutting and the exquisite craft of the master, we developed a design that combines modern technology with traditional craft. In the assembly process, we tested the structure and component details repeatedly to make the detachable component. The table legs are fixed through a plug pin, and the client can enjoy the fun of "playing puzzle". The worktable top adopts the material of tempered glass and the characteristics of the glass can retain the beauty of the iron structure. CHALLENGE: In order to maximize the usage of this worktable, while still enjoying assembling and disassembling it, we have made continuous attempts and conducted testing on the plate material thickness and structure to reduce the weight.
