| DESIGN NAME: Trapeze PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lamp INSPIRATION: Trapeze - One of the leaders in the line of lighting fixtures from «GARAGE FACTORY». As with other brand objects, it is made of concrete and is trapezoidal polyhedron. With its creation, the designers were inspired by the ancient Bulgarian architecture. Geometric ornament, with combination of the four elements and octagonal in the composition was typical for Bulgarian architecture. In this case designers have upside down the standard form. Result - four-sided top part on an octagonal base. The resulting symbiosis of ancient architectural forms and industrial design has created an innovative piece of furniture, when you look at that immediately clear - it will realize the most vivid imagination in interior design. The lamp fits well in a variety of interiors and facilities. It can be hung alone or in a group at different heights, thereby forming the whole composition of light. Concrete - cold enough material, so to give a lamp «Trapeze» visual warmth, the inner side is painted in yellow. On request, it can be applied and the other inner surface of the color. Cord lamp has a textile braid, and in addition to performing technical functions, is an decorative element. It does not carry the load - this is the function of a special metal wire, bundled. The textile element may be made in different colors, depending on the wishes of the customer. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Concrete - cold enough material, so to give a lamp «Trapeze» visual warmth, the inner side is painted in yellow. Result - soft light that poured through the room. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The fixture is intended for illumination of local areas such dining room, reception. Since small lamp, the maximum visual effect can be achieved by hanging it on groups 3-5 pieces. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The first sketches of the lamp appeared in March 2016, two months later at an exhibition in Moscow was presented the first models. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: When designers create this lamp, they was inspired by the major architectural forms. Millimeter for millimeter perfected proportions of this lamp. Top landing size, the size of the base, the wall thickness, the depth of the lamp - all these elements were studied carefully. Since the first Divide made of cardboard, it was very difficult bylosohranit same wall thickness at the bottom. Later, the designers had the idea to paint the inside of the ceiling. A lot of time was spent on elaborate fittings and finding reliable suppliers SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: External dimensions of the fixture: 120mm / 120mm / 384mm. The length of metal wire ropes 2 meters TAGS: concrete, light, lighting, fixture RESEARCH ABSTRACT: When its creation, designers were inspired by the ancient Bulgarian architecture. They have done extensive research in this direction. When they received answers to their questions, they have transgressed the design and production. Before starting production they performed analysis and properties of the material structure, сonducted laboratory tests to select the most appropriate grade concrete. The aim of the project was the transfer of architectural forms for the interior, with the aim to acquaint the layman with ancient Bulgarian architecture. In the production methods used in pouring concrete into the form, manual handling of the workpiece and the subsequent manual assembly of finished products. CHALLENGE: The main difficulty in the development of the lamp was the transfer of architectural techniques in industrial design. In addition, designers are faced with the complexity of the production of molds for pouring concrete. However, they had no doubt that the ready light will be adopted with the approval of society.
