| DESIGN NAME: Butterfly PRIMARY FUNCTION: Fashion Eyewear INSPIRATION: Label originating in Hong Kong. Believe 'Blend the rule' on design to make things more creative. It is fully represented this from the brand logo. It is outstanding and creative. Inspired by different materials to apply on design, and the theme from books or travel to make some creative design. The collection reflects a feeling from heart during travel or reading yet sophisticated style for everybody. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The theme for Fashion Creative Collection of BIG HORN is 'Natural Beauty'. Butterfly is one of the insects to represent natural beauty. It possess the beautiful wings when becoming adults from caterpillars. They are hardworking, beautiful, and enjoying the life. The collection wants to bring more positive energy for everybody. Life is short, enjoy the life and possess beauty’s heart are most important. It will make you look gorgeous in any occasion. Also, it is allowed clip on the head as like as headwear or hair band. Stylizing for themselves in everyday. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The temples is made by titanium. The nature of the titanium is elasticity. Also, the flat titanium temples was bending with cushion curve. It is easy to wear and feel comfortable. Also, it is allowed clip on the head as like as headwear or hair band. Styling for yourself in everyday. In addition, the metal pad arm is made by titanium that it is allowed to adjust the size for fitting. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2016 in Hong Kong, and finished in November 2016. The debut of the collection was on Hong Kong Optical Fair 2016 in Hong Kong, and Nakid Magazine in U.S. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Butterfly is the latest model of fashion creative collection of the brand. It made by acetate and titanium. There installed 2 different colors of sun lens with Swarovski Stones for embellishment. The flat with cushion bending curve titanium temples has elasticity. It is good for fitting on the head with comfort. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Material: 100% acetate for front and temple tip, 100% titanium for temples. Dimension: 150mm for temple length; Color: Crystal Purple; stone color: crystal TAGS: bighornrhino, bighorn, fashion, eyewear, sunglasses RESEARCH ABSTRACT: People like green life and natural now. Inspired to create natural beauty that draw attention. In business point of view, brand must have creativity. Many people like creative items or unique products for gaining more attractive. Nowadays, many people like selfie. If they have the unique or outstanding products with photos. It could draw more attention from everybody. Also, it could increase the loyalty from customers. CHALLENGE: It designed for fulfilling the requirements to the customers that they love unique products with design and creative. It is good for stylizing. Our target customers are celebrities and fashionistas. The main challenge is the size and fitting. The butterfly shape is very big, and not easy to fix on the face. We have to apply the some knowledge on the model that it is good for wear it with comfort. We designed it with the cushion curve titanium temples, and the metal pad arm for adjustment. NAME: BIG HORN PROFILE: 'BIG HORN' was created by designer Mr. Kevin Ching in 2011. The symbol of the brand is a Rhino cub with a big horn which carries the spirit of "Bend the Rules". The designs are creatively made to bring the 'Rhino Spirit' to everybody, especially to those who dare to dream. BIG HORN has two collections named 'Fashion Creative' and 'Extravaganza' which are both great for styling. The brand is recognised by international stylists, celebrities, fashionistas and bloggers. The stylists in Hollywood, Hong Kong and Europe have been so supportive to feature the items in photo shootings, music videos and movies. |
