| DESIGN NAME: flAVATAR PRIMARY FUNCTION: Glowing flowers INSPIRATION: We wanted to create an innovation as beautiful as a flower, yet so unique that stands out from the thousands of bouquets of flowers and pot platns. Although at first glance the flAVATAR - Magical Flowers look just a flower, when night falls and all other flowers melt into the darkness, flAVATARs are the only ones that glow bright in the night! UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The treated cut flower/pot plant glows with a beautiful green/light blue/indigo/red/whit OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Both the process and composition of substance are distinguished in cut flowers, indoor plants and outdoor plants. The treatment process is carried out at a maximum of 15C temperature and we only treat as many flowers that can be ready in half an hour. After the treatment, the flowers are immediately returned to their storage, where they can dry. After 24 hours, the flowers can be packed up for further tansport. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in June 2014 in Budapest, Hungary and finished in June 2016 with 5 differents colours in Budapest. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: flAVATAR Magical Flowers are patented. We use 100 percent plant based ingredients for the treatment of cut flowers and pot plants, which glow in the dark. The substance used to treat the plants are 100 percent safe as well as for the natural environment, as humans and animals. The technology used by flAVATAR is in all aspects free from gene manipulations. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: flavatar, glowing, flowers, magical RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Scientists and researchers have been trying to uncover the secret of glowing flowers since 1978, mainly because of how efficient it would be to exchange artificial light with a natural one, and on the other hand because of how mesmerizing glowing flowers look in the dark. CHALLENGE: The main challanges were to develop a cost-effective, 100% natural and invisible treatment substance which the plant can stably coexist with. NAME: flAVATAR - Magical Flowers PROFILE: flAVATAR - Magical Flowers were introduced to the public in February, 2015. The first flowers and pot plants glowed in a beautiful green colour, and soon blue, aqua blue, red and white versions followed. These glowing flowers are the first products from the brand flAVATAR. |
