INSPIRATION:
In this project, seek to add new imagination in the working units. The space can be divided as three major structures. Among different departments, the boundaries of these brainstorming boxes start interesting conversations with the boundaries with the working space. For the vision, we pursue a space without any solid walls and try to deconstruct the feeling of the gigantic structure of the empty conference room, while seeking versatile possibility of the conference room.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The site locates in the space of Song Shan Culture Park. The plan of Taipei New Horizon Building has a playful form to respond the context of the park; therefore, the divides indoor also correspond to the cutting lines of the environment. Walking along with the curvy windows, the users navigate through the lights and shadows in the space, and form a playful scene at background of the urban view. The space is created for better efficiency and happiness for the employees.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Re-defined working space. The story begins with the way we re-define the new working space. In this project, we simulate the functions of a home, to re-define the areas in the working space as the entrance hall, the living room, the sitting room, the open kitchen, and the recreation area (café) in a home, and thus seek to add new imagination in the working units.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Nowadays, new startups seek for a working place with highly working efficiency and living happiness together, meanwhile reach the eco via green issues to reach their ideal imaginations. The way we redefine the working space, is to input home functions such as living room, reading space etc. with cozy atmosphere, same time we design customized working units such as floating box for storage and Y shape desk for team work to fulfill their needs. From the original design concept, we start to balance and combine both efficiency and happiness during work.

CHALLENGE:
First of all, the interior is not square, the building is built with the park site and city view. We follow the curvy window, the ceiling and floor line cutting naturally separate the interior layout. We invite a lot of nature light from outside to inside, using glass boxes and metal nets materials instead of solid walls. The most challenge is its fire regulations. In order to have a comfortable space, we remove the original ceiling, we put many effort to offset at least half of the missing ceiling volume. the result is good, and we successfully reach the fire regulations with the building and the government laws.
