| DESIGN NAME: Brave Jet PRIMARY FUNCTION: Syringe INSPIRATION: The intent of this product is to divert attention of the children by transforming the syringe to a plane toy. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Having an injection to protect against illness is essential to safeguard children's health. Most children feel scary getting an injection. And It causes a danger when people have a shot because of their motion. So Butler studio suggest 'syringe toy'.The motivation of this is a toy plane. Children forget a fear as a toy for a moment. And after a child gets an injection, hospital can recycle a syringe to a toy. And It can be a evidence to brave child as giving a syringe after use. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Infuse the medicine, mimic the motion of a jet toy before injection PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: January 2015 in South Korea. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials is plastic SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This product's dimension follows the standard dimension of a typical syringe and a typical box as packaging. TAGS: Syringe, Toy, Jet, design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Injection procedures are necessary to protect children against illnesses, however, most children are afraid of it, thus, it becomes difficult for the doctors to inject. Doctors usually find it difficult to calm the patient from fear. The solution that this project proposes is called "syringe toy". The design of the syringe mimics a plane toy and when the child sees it, The child will forget the fear momentarily because child attention is diverted to the syringe as a toy. When the procedure is done, the needle can be removed and the toy will be given to the child as remembrance of children bravery.
