| DESIGN NAME: Essence PRIMARY FUNCTION: Mask Packaging INSPIRATION: The design is inspired by the transparency and fluidity of watercolour. Water is the main element to bring out the colours in watercolouring technique while for Essence Mask, the essence lies in keeping the skin hydrated and replenished. Each of the product aims to offer customers a health,radiant skin. The vivid colours of the mask design represents an everyday glamour after using the product. The use of pastel colours helps in giving the product a feminine, soft and attractive identity. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Essence Mask Packing comes in 4 different types each with a distinctive colour to illustrate each of the product. The design use water colouring as the main element to illustrate a soft and feminine packaging that goes in line with the brand's philosophy to be simple, elegant and confident. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We were first being given only the type of masks that the client plans to produce. A branding story and a few design options were then prepared for the client to choose from. The simple design of watercolouring immediately caught client's attention and what was left were to finalize the colour combinations in order to better represent the product. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2015. The brand was launched in February 2016. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Packaging Design |

NAME: Koren Sin Studio PROFILE: Koren Sin Studio is a multi-disciplinary creative studio with work spans across architecture, interior, multi-media and sculpture art. The studio specializes in parametric design and digital fabrication and has won international awards including Grand Prize at MTR Tiara Sculpture Competition, Finalist at Lantern Wonderland Design Competition, and Merit Award at Shinkenchiku Competition. Recently Koren Sin Studio collaborates with Kirin Lab and has completed a sculpture for a listing ceremony at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Their work was being exhibited and published internationally at Hong Kong Week in Taiwan, CELEBRATE!2015 by RIBA, EVOLO SKYSCARPERS publication, Reveal by HKIA at Artistree.
