| DESIGN NAME: A&P Bali Office PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office Design INSPIRATION: The inspiration comes from the environment around the old house. To achieve a soothing and calm environment without compromising the quaintness of this old residential space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The 300 square meter is an old house and is designed to marry culture with the modern elements, which results a rustic and industrial feel, over taking the old house with a new injection of atmosphere. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Marrying culture with modern elements to result in a rustic and industrial feel PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project started in February 2014 and completed in July 2015 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Architecture, Building and Structure Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Using rustic solid wood treated in natural finish, custom metal basin and cement floor. Aim to inject the old architecture a state of soothing and calmness amidst the the natural yet an impactful and understated look. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 2 gigantic pivot doors is applied to allowed the flow heading to the main hall. A long gesture of rectangular custom metal basin is designed to give a linear and minimal touch. Cement floor and wall coated to white increasing a visual of spaciousness. Entire cabins treated with Pivoted wooden door is designed to have an integrated handle achieving a clean elevation. TAGS: interior, architecture, design, bali, indonesia RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Exploration of using natural materials and the environment of the surrounding. Plan of space to allow enough space and natural lights to fall into the interior. CHALLENGE: The challenge is to inject new life to this old space and yet retain some of its original details like the roof. Combining both old with modern materials like metal.
