| DESIGN NAME: A-circle PRIMARY FUNCTION: Life Buoy INSPIRATION: When there is a shipwreck that people have to abandon the ship to escape, the cold water is the No. 1 killer for death of. Therefore, to maintain body temperature is the primary is the principal issue. Hurry and panic escape may also result in accidental bodily injury and the wound of blood will lead to shark attack, which endangers the lives of the drowning people. However, the traditional life buoy cannot solve the problems above. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The ring body is specially designed to isolated seawater effectively,save people's energy by supporting the body,and maintain body temperature so as to protect the safety of the drowning people to the maximized degree.The life buoy is equipped with GPS positioning and light emitting device,which can be found quickly and accurately by the rescure. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The ring of life :life buoy is the upgrading for the traditional life buoy. By applying a simple semantics, it conveys the specific meaning of the use methods. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The buoy adopts injection molding technology, and the inflatable part and the wearable part adopt the hot melt rubber forming technology. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: out diameter:700mm inner diameter:400mm thickness of the:105mm TAGS: isolate seawater, save energy, maintain body temperature, prevent shark attack, life buoy RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research purpose: to offer the better protection for the victims in the sea, to fight for more precious time for the rescue, to prevent them from infection caused by soaking in sea water for a long time, to avoid being attacked by a shark attacks and reduce the risks of frostbite. At first we find that traditional life buoy does not have a good protection function and wearing a life jacket is much complicated. In light of these problems, we find the corresponding design points of this product. CHALLENGE: The challenge in designing The ring of life is focused on the tension and toughness of materials. After a number of tests in the selection of materials, we finally find the proper material which achieves the desired effect.
