| DESIGN NAME: Munige PRIMARY FUNCTION: Shop INSPIRATION: Firstly, creating a curved surface by changing steel structure in the corner, and subjoin a wall panel on the left of the corner. With some tilted panels, enable the sight to extend to the corner side and connect with curved surface. The appearance of LED light strips with oblique panels, expressing the sense of speed. With light effect on the curved walls, the building at Cuihua Road becomes more dazzling and refined in night. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: From exterior and interior through entire building is full of concrete-like material, supplemented with black, white and a few wood colors, together creating a cool tone. Staircase in the central of space becomes leading role, a variety of angled folded shapes are just like a cone supporting the whole second floor, and join with an extended platform in ground floor. The space is like a completely part. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Client's need and sense was important, and their trust on designer to bring out the concept and the way to achieve it, these were how it works. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: paint effects by hand made to perform natural, irregular shapes to perform strength, LED lights to perform trend, curved facade to perform harmony. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: dimensions of building (Width2352 x Depth1175 x Height900 cm), area 246 square meter. TAGS: fair-faced concrete, staircase, curved skin, LED, natural RESEARCH ABSTRACT: wood works, metal works, and paint works were kind of challenge to each construction team. Irregular shape of stairs was first experience to wood work team and how to make it look good from every angles. Curved facade's also took a longer time than usual to figure out how to make it stable and look smooth. Paint work has been tried for dozen samples to perform the effect. CHALLENGE: In limitation of time to let wood, metal and paint construction team to make their first experience work of technical done, was the hardest part. Each team had to do strictly and quickly.
