| DESIGN NAME: MOON & ORCHID PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lighting INSPIRATION: This product is a result from the project to create new traditions by crashing the korea traditional crafted products and the most high-tech engineering technology. MOON & ORCHID is a popular image in the korea poem and paintings. An wild orchid is imaged by using a bamboo wood, and a moon is imaged by a light which has aluminum reflection board. This stand can express the oriental natural image moon and orchid, escaping from the high-tech robot arm images of most stand products. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project was performed on the condition that tradition materials should be used, which were general materials. Precise carving CNC technology, and LED technology make it possible to fuse traditional materials such as bamboo wood, marble to a electric stand lighting OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The same operation is possible as ordinary lighting stand. materials are so general and plentiful . PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This lighting is composed of 3 components, aluminum reflection and LED lightings which means a moon, bamboo branches which means orchid, and a ceramic bottom which means rock cliff. An aluminum reflection is carved by CNC machine and anodized as finishing. The joint point between LED lighting and bamboo branch is minimized to protect the heat from LED lightings. The Bamboo branches can be adjusted to the user's taste. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions : 540(W) X 20(D) X 445(H) / Base: 120,55 Φ X 115(H) Materials: Bamboo / AL anodizing ( LED illuminant ) / Ceramic TAGS: MOON & ORCHID,Oriental lighting,oriental poem,oriental painting,bamboo lighting RESEARCH ABSTRACT: MOON & ORCHID is a popular image in korean traditional paintings and poem.
