| DESIGN NAME: Sakura PRIMARY FUNCTION: Necklace INSPIRATION: Hairaat Fine Jewellery was commissioned by one of its private clientele who is fascinated with the charm and heritage of the Japanese Culture to produce a necklace. The inspiration for the necklace comes from the Japanese culture and specifically from Cheery Blossom. The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the beauty of life. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Necklace is very flexible and made from different pieces soldered seamlessly together to cascade beautifully on the women’s neck area. The center flowers rotate and the there is an allowance for to use the left shorter piece of the necklace separately as a brooch The necklace is very light given the 3D shape and complexity of the piece. The gross weight for it is 362.50 grams made is 18 karat, with 518.75 carats of stone and diamonds OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The necklace is a flexible piece that cascades on the women's neck area, that is due to the way its produced in different piece that were soldered together PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Project Started in in June 2014 in Doha and finished in December 2014 in Dubai |

We have conducted desktop research to further understand the flower and steam shapes and colours We have taken measurement of the lady commissioned the piece to make sure it would set nicely around the neck. CHALLENGE: The hardest part was to recreate the cherry blossom using stones and diamonds and yet realize a high jewellery piece in 3D that is wearable and not so heavy.
