| DESIGN NAME: Invocation PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ring INSPIRATION: A human being always needs a shelter to feel safe in. For eastern people a place that people can go there, pray and feel close to their god had a crucial role in their lives. Designer has tried to emphasis on uniqueness and originality of the creature with by using a domical shape which reminds us the domes of Islamic mosques. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This design breaks the borders of thought. It makes the human to get closer to his/her root. The person whose this ring belongs to always will be in the thought of its nature (originality). Unique design of this work implies to the religion of a large number of people(Muslims). In addition this ring with its Intertwined shapes emphasis on place which is safe, warm and peaceful like a nest. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In fact the main use of this jewelry is satisfying the need of women. This work is designed for using in formal parties and can perfectly set with a formal outfit. A Lady who is the owner of this piece can be proud of wearing such an extra ordinary ring with a safeness and comfortable feeling which implies which. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Project started in May 2014 in Tehran and finished in July 2014 in Tehran. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This ring is sketched by hand and designed in Matrix software. The material which is used is gold. To have a perfect finishing the following activities has been done: 1.The Digital wax machine makes the wax which is set in plaster casting to be formed by it, 2.The casting part is accomplished. 3.Then it is cleaned by an instrument of cleaning metal. 4. Finally, The diamonds and emerald are installed on the ring. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width: 31.45 MM Height: 46.1 MM depth the inside part of gold is made separately and added inside the cover(outer space) The stones which are used in this design are worked upside done. TAGS: invocation, ring,accessory RESEARCH ABSTRACT: A human centered research has been taken for designing this jewelry. Discover: After having some researches in history, tribes and community of people with same religion beliefs I decided to design a ring with some unique inspirations from Islamic architectural icons. Develop: After having some sketches and physical prototypes the young and mid age ladies, 25-40 gathered to have a user centered workshop in which ladies tried to try these items on and explain their feelings. The overall results of this session brought out two final images that I worked on them till the final ring came out. Test:The final touch done when a final prototype, in some sketches asked to the users(Ladies) and got confirmation from 8 people out of 10. CHALLENGE: For realization of dome structure and making a harmonic forms .actually since this work is a symbol of my religion,Islam,there is no obstacle for producing even in plenty numbers,also it cab be an advertising tool for this religion indeed law approves it thoroughly and eagerly.the basic instruments are sufficient.
