| DESIGN NAME: Metric Dimanic PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sculptural Painting INSPIRATION: Metric Dimanic, As refers to the names of Metric, Diamond and Dynamic. It is inspired from the appearance of Chess Board, from a large scale of a Chess Board to a small scale of a Chess Character's craving. Each crystal's lighting spectrum that integrates with another and celebrates Dynamic vibrancy when apply lighting, as the result of Metric Dianamic. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 'Metric Dimanic' is a contemporary Sculptural Painting. Sphere crystals are gridded out onto a white background base, enhancing the interior space from its lighting effect. The Sculptural Painting allows light sources to casts light beams. The cuts of the crystal surface reflects out various colours, which create different patterns and colours of the crystals. The design generates elegance into the space and expresses the feeling of luxurious art. It is the one-of-a-kind contemporary artwork. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This piece of installation allows users to generate customised lighting effect by placing light source from any side of the surrounding area that suits the current mood or personal preference. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design integrates with the interior space - Casa Silk, the prototype is now set on the design location locate in Taipei, Taiwan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design integrates with the interior space - Casa Silk, the prototype is now set on the design location locate in Taipei, Taiwan. Designed in Oct 2014, duration of 2 months on completion of the prototype. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Size of 800mm x 800mm x 6mm. The white board comes pre-dill, each crystal units is secure by screw from the back of the board and fixed to the front. CHALLENGE: The painting is design specific for a client, who aims for contemporary style, elegance decoration in the interior space, and the challenge is to produce unique ideas which satisfies the luxury interior spaces.
