DESIGN NAME:
More_Light

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Modular interior design system

INSPIRATION:
Easy like a toy but elegant and innovative. More_Light is the easy version of the previous MORE system. It can be used, moved and fixed in many different ways. More Light is a furnishings modular system able to give a personal touch to every space.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
A modular interior design system, assemblable and disassemblable with a green soul and very easy to use. Designed to have many functions and adapt to all needs, this system follow a concept of total customization and is the expression of an ecofriendly design. Aesthetic refinement and environmental compatibility find a meeting point thanks to a careful functional study, combined with research of materials. More_Light is designed to dynamically interpret both domestic and public spaces as well as being a great addition to shops or helping to set a scene in shop windows.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This project is the result of a process of experimental design that relies entirely on the convertibility of the products. It is ideal to satisfy all of our daily needs thanks to the flexibility of its square modules and its joint system. It possible to create bookcases of different sizes and depths, shelving, panel walls, display stands, wall units, as well as seats or tables. It can be more customizable thanks to the wide range of finishes, colours, textures and graphic designs available. The system has its spare parts and at the end of its life all its components can be easily separated to go to different disposal or recycling.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in 2000 in Varese. Year of production 2011.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
At the base of the system is a simple module made of various materials, including recycled ones which allows you to obtain furnishing solutions in different shapes, sizes and intended use. Its versatility allows for almost endless combinations of composition, thanks to the wide range of meterials, colours and finishes: the finishes can be made of bioplastic, wood (teak, light oak, wenge etc.), felt, coloured and semi-transparent methacrylate, metal, stone and new other materials. Moreover, More_Light is easily disassembled by each material and uses a non-permanent mechanical assembly, without any gluing. It requires a simple technology which aids a short production chain based on simple materials and technologies.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
All its parts can be easily separated, stokked and transported.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Aesthetic refinement and environmental compatibility find a meeting point thanks to a careful functional study, combined with research of materials and eco-friendly construction methods. The research process was focused on the quality of life of the objects we use in harmony with the concept C2C. The objective was to create a product multifunctional, easy to use, long-lived and to become fond of.

CHALLENGE:
The challenge was in projecting an interior design system able to adapt to contemporary changing life. I found a key solution in a simple module which can be easily assemblated with its similar elements in many different ways. Thanks to its transforming ability More_Light never goes out of fashion because it meets the contemporary need of personal expression. Its modular feature is innovative and sustainable.
